The nominees for the Women in Poker Hall of Fame were released. The list consists of seven ladies that will the 2010 induction that will happen on September. The Women in Poker Hall of Fame is created by the Ladies International Poker Series and it is sponsored by the CardPlayer Magazine.
Before the ladies enter the list, they must have the criteria required. Basing in the criteria, well-known ladies poker players include Vanessa Rousso of PokerStars, Annette Obrestad of Team Full Tilt Poker, Vanessa Selbst and Liv Boeree of UB.com, however, the list for the hall of fame is still tentative.
Among the seven players mentioned, the Poker News Daily guest columnist, Annie Duke headed the way. Duke is considered as one of the most excellent players in the industry. Along with Duke is Jennifer Harman who happens to win two World Series of Poker bracelets. There are some ladies who are mentioned for the Hall of Fame, aside from the latest poker muses, Betty Carey is considered as the pioneers in the women poker.
The voting process for lady players is ongoing, the public is free to vote among the players for the Women in Poker Hall of Fame website up to July 15th and the result of the process will be announce in the month of August.
